Jingdzhen has been the central of porcelain production in China as early as the Han Dynasty (about 200 BC). With the introduction of high temperature kilns during the Sui and Tang Dynasties (7th century) the craftsmen were able to develop a variety of advanced glazing techniques and produced the world first translucent and smooth pottery object that we today called the porcelain.
The first account of Chinese porcelain manufacture was brought to Europe in around the 17th century. At that time Jingdezhen has about a million of people and some 3000 kilns for firing ceramics. For hundreds and hundreds of years, Jingdezhen is known as the porcelain capital of China and today with the huge collection that we have here you can be sure that youre choosing and buying the best and the original Jingdezhen porcelains.
