The arrival of hot and humid summer weather also brings about gynecological diseases. The number of patients with vaginitis diagnosed in gynecological diseases has increased significantly. There are many causes of vaginitis symptoms, and the pathogens come from two main sources: the bacteria that originally parasitize the vagina, or pathogens that invade from the outside. There are many types of vaginitis, the more common ones are bacterial vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, and Trichomonas vaginitis. The main symptoms of vaginitis are vulvar itching and abnormal leucorrhea, but the symptoms may vary depending on the type of vaginitis.

【Common symptoms】

1. Juvenile vaginitis: It is more common in infants and young children aged 1-5 years old. The symptoms of this type of vaginitis are redness and swelling of the vulva, watery vaginal discharge, and vulvar itching.

2. Candidal vaginitis: vulvar itching, vulvar and vaginal burning pain, increased leucorrhea in the form of tofu dregs, sometimes accompanied by frequent urination, painful urination, and painful sexual intercourse.

3. Senile vaginitis: The amount of leucorrhea increases, and it is yellow watery or purulent with a foul odor. When the infection is severe, vaginal bleeding may occur, as well as heaviness and burning sensation in the vagina. If the vestibule and mucosa around the urethral orifice are affected, frequent urination and painful urination may also occur.

4. Trichomonas vaginitis: The amount of leucorrhea increases and becomes milky white or yellow. Sometimes it is purulent, foamy and has a foul odor. In severe cases, there is bloody leucorrhea, dysuria, frequent urination, and hematuria.

5. Menstrual vaginitis: There is a feeling of heaviness and burning in the perineum, and increased vaginal secretions.

6. Bacterial vaginitis: The amount of leucorrhea increases, which is grayish white, thin and foamy, the vaginal mucosa is congested, with scattered bleeding spots, vulva itching, burning sensation, and foul odor.

7. Honeymoon vaginitis: more common in newly married women. It is mainly caused by not paying attention to the hygiene of sexual organs and sexual life. Symptoms include increased leucorrhea, itching and pain inside and outside the vagina, and redness and swelling of the mucosa.

8. Nonspecific vaginitis: There is a feeling of falling and burning in the vagina, accompanied by pelvic discomfort and general fatigue. The vaginal secretions increase and are purulent and serous with a foul odor.

9. Purulent vaginitis: It is more common in women with vaginal tears or birth injuries, and is characterized by increased vaginal discharge, which is yellow and pus-like with a fishy smell, burning and pain in the vagina, and redness and swelling of the mucosa.

【complication】

1. If vaginitis is not effectively treated, it may cause ascending infection of bacteria in the vagina, leading to gynecological diseases such as cervicitis or cervical erosion.

2. Some vaginal inflammations may also affect other organs, causing pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis and other reproductive organ inflammations.

3. Severe vaginitis can cause female infertility. This is because the inflammatory cells in the vagina will affect the movement of sperm or engulf sperm, causing infertility.

In life, once a woman suffers from vaginitis, it will bring pressure to her life. We must be in good condition and actively seek treatment. When the disease is discovered, we must not seek medical treatment indiscriminately and must receive treatment in a regular hospital.

After talking about so many symptoms and complications, I believe everyone has enough understanding. So please apply the knowledge to your life, help more people get rid of their worries. The most important thing is to maintain personal hygiene and go to a regular hospital for treatment if any problems arise, so as not to delay the disease. Finally, I wish everyone a healthy body!
