How to treat yellow leucorrhea with fishy smell?

As female friends, we should know clearly that there are two important things that accompany us every month, one is menstruation, and the other is leucorrhea. In fact, from another perspective, both menstruation and leucorrhea can show the physical condition of a female friend, especially leucorrhea. Some female friends say that their leucorrhea is yellow and has a fishy smell. This is definitely a disease. What is normal leucorrhea like? And how to treat yellow leucorrhea with a fishy smell?

Whether normal leucorrhea is normal should be observed in terms of quantity, color, texture and smell. Normal leucorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell; its secretion amount and texture are affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, and vary cyclically with the menstrual cycle, with varying amounts, textures and thicknesses. Generally, the amount of leucorrhea is less after the menstrual period; before ovulation, the increase in estrogen levels in the body promotes the proliferation of epithelial cells of the cervical glands, the secretion of cervical mucus increases, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus increases, which can absorb more water, causing the leucorrhea to increase during ovulation, and the texture is thin, clear, and looks like egg white, which can be stretched into long threads; after ovulation, estrogen levels gradually decrease, progesterone levels increase, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus also decreases, making the leucorrhea at this time thick, milky white, with poor ductility, and easy to break when drawn. In addition, there are also some physiological phenomena such as pregnancy and oral contraceptives, which can cause an increase in vaginal discharge. The cause is also related to changes in estrogen and progesterone levels in the body.

If the leucorrhea is yellow and has a fishy smell, it is recommended to go to a regular professional gynecological hospital for routine leucorrhea, colposcopy and other gynecological examinations to identify the cause and treat the symptoms. Do not take medicine blindly! Leucorrhea is a secretion of the vagina and cervix. Under normal circumstances, the amount of leucorrhea is very small, transparent, shiny and sticky, without odor, and increases before menstruation, ovulation, and pregnancy. If it stays in the vagina for too long, it may be slightly yellow. If the leucorrhea increases, turns yellow, and has an odor, it is mostly caused by vaginitis and cervicitis.

As a female friend, we should always pay attention to changes in our body. If you also have symptoms of yellow leucorrhea with fishy odor, you must go to the hospital for a thorough check-up. From the above, everyone already knows how to treat yellow leucorrhea with fishy odor, so don’t hesitate, take responsibility for your own body.
