Pay attention to hygiene after giving birth, clean the vulva every day, and strictly avoid having sex during the confinement period to prevent bacteria from infecting the unhealed uterus.

3. Be alert to abnormal bleeding

After a pregnant woman gives birth, many blood vessel ends are exposed on the adhesion surface of the uterine embryo, resulting in uterine bleeding. As the uterus contracts, the wound gradually becomes smaller, the blood vessels close, and the bleeding gradually decreases. If abnormal uterine bleeding increases significantly, you should be alert to abnormal bleeding caused by retained embryos, fetal membranes, or poor uterine contractions.

4. Pain Transformation

The process of uterine lowering is actually a process in which its muscles continue to contract and shorten, and the length and volume of muscle cells significantly decrease. During this process, the blood vessels between the myometrium are compressed and narrowed, and the myometrium causes pain due to ischemia; at the same time, the contraction of the myometrium can also directly compress the nerves in the myometrium and cause pain. This type of abdominal pain occurs within 2 to 3 days after giving birth, and is manifested as paroxysmal pain in the lower abdomen. Generally, no special medication is required, but painkillers may be considered as appropriate.
