The harm of vulvar hyperplastic leukoplakia

The harm of vulvar hyperplastic leukoplakia

Nowadays, women are exposed to more and more bacteria, and many women suffer from gynecological diseases. Sometimes, they feel ashamed and are unwilling to go to the hospital for treatment. Vulvar hyperplastic leukoplakia is one of the gynecological diseases that harm women. These diseases not only cause harm to women's bodies, but may also be transmitted to others. So, what are the dangers of vulvar hyperplastic leukoplakia?

The symptoms of hyperplastic vulvar leukoplakia vary depending on the severity of the patient's condition. In the early stages of the disease, when the condition is relatively mild, the vulvar skin color is dark red or pink, and the hyperkeratotic areas are white. As the skin progresses step by step, it may even develop symptoms such as hyperplasia, roughness, thickening, and cracking. The longer the patient delays treatment, the more difficult the treatment will become.

Hyperplastic vulvar leukoplakia can be divided into the following types:

First, stage I hyperplastic vulvar leukoplakia

The main symptom of patients in the early stage is vulvar itching. Some patients have severe itching, which worsens at night. Scratching often causes redness, swelling and ulceration, and may cause burning pain and other discomfort.

Second, stage II hyperplastic vulvar leukoplakia

On the basis of stage I symptoms, keratinization and hyperplasia appear in the skin of the vulva lesion area, and mild hypopigmentation appears locally on the vulva skin in the form of dots or small white papules with a frosty white surface, which usually appears on the inner side of the labia majora and minora.

Third, stage III hyperplastic vulvar leukoplakia

The vulvar skin is severely keratinized and hyperplastic, the keratin layer falls off repeatedly, or scratching causes redness, swelling, edema, cracking, ulceration and erosion of the vulva, and there may be itching accompanied by pain. The patient feels that the symptoms are severe. For patients with serious conditions, there is a possibility of developing cancer once the condition worsens.

Vulvar hyperplastic leukoplakia does not develop into a severe condition from the beginning. It is just that patients suffer from the disease but do not pay attention to it, causing it to develop slowly and eventually reach an uncontrollable stage. Therefore, patients suffering from vulvar hyperplastic leukoplakia should not refuse treatment because of embarrassment and delay the best treatment time.
