Follicles are an important component of female endocrine. Follicles are formed by an oocyte and the surrounding small follicle cells in the ovarian cortex. Generally, according to the function and morphological changes of the follicle development process, they can be divided into three types: primitive follicles, growing follicles and mature follicles. Female primitive follicles are congenital, so how much can female follicles grow in a day? What kind of follicles are considered normal? How much can an ovarian follicle grow in a day? The egg grows at a rate of about 1-3mm/day, and the closer to ovulation, the faster it grows. The mature follicle is 18-25mm, and the mature follicle usually ovulates within 24-48 hours. A mature follicle should have three characteristics: a diameter greater than 18 mm, and be round rather than elliptical, and B-ultrasound should show good sound transmission. It will be excreted soon after it matures. In each menstrual cycle, only one follicle is produced to maturity, which is called the dominant follicle. The other follicles are inhibited by inhibitory factors, stop growing, and degenerate into atretic follicles. From the 5th to 6th day of the cycle, the diameter of the follicle is about 5 to 7 mm. On the 10th day, the diameter of the follicle can reach 10 mm, which can be clearly shown by ultrasound. In a normal cycle, the speed of follicle development is relatively constant, about 1 to 3 mm/day, and the fastest can reach 4 mm/day. The closer to ovulation, the faster the growth. It can grow by 7 mm 5 hours before ovulation, and can mature and be discharged when it develops to 18-23 mm. For some patients, the growth stops when it reaches a certain size, and if it does not grow, it is abnormal. The normal follicle size is 1.8-2.5cm. When the follicle grows to a certain size, it disappears, which is called luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome. This disease refers to a group of syndromes in which the menstrual cycle is regular and ovulation is assumed to occur, but in fact the follicle does not rupture in the middle of the menstrual period and ovulation does not occur. It is one of the important causes of infertility. The follicle is an important component of the female endocrine system. Two days after ovulation, the follicle will meet normal sperm in the fallopian tube, and then a fertilized egg will be formed, and pregnancy will occur. If there is any abnormality in the follicle, it will be impossible to get pregnant normally, so female friends should pay attention to regulating their health. |
