◆Lubricate the front end of the anal canal, connect it to the syringe, clamp the anal canal after exhausting the air, gently insert it into the anus about 10-15cm, slowly push in about 150ml of the medicine, and after the medicine is injected, inject 5ml-10ml of warm water, and then gently pull it out.

◆Gently rub the anus with toilet paper, ask the patient to retain the medicine as much as possible, and help the patient to assume a comfortable lying position.

2. Rectal instillation

◆Prepare all the supplies and bring them to the bedside, and ask the patient to empty his bowels.

◆Measure the temperature of the medicine, 39-41℃, pour it into the infusion bag, hang it on the infusion stand or clothes hanger, with the liquid level about 30-40cm away from the anus.

◆Position the patient properly, lying on the left or right side according to the location of the lesion, place a rubber sheet and treatment towel under the buttocks, and use a small pillow to raise the buttocks about 10 cm, exposing the anus, and keep warm.

◆Lubricate the front end of the anal tube, connect it to the infusion set, clamp the infusion tube after exhausting the air, gently insert it into the anus about 10-15cm, fix it with tape, release the switch, and adjust the drip rate to 60-80 drops per minute.

◆When the medicine has finished dripping, clamp the connecting tube of the infusion tube or enema tube, pull out the rectal tube and put it in the tray. Gently massage your anus with toilet paper.

◆Assist the patient to assume a comfortable lying position, and instruct the patient to keep the medicine for one night as much as possible. The small pillow on the buttocks can be removed after one hour.
