The cryotherapy method for the cervix uses a special liquid nitrogen refrigerator to lower the temperature of the "probe" of the treatment device to -196°C, causing the cervical erosion or polyp tissue to freeze, necrotize, and fall off, and then be replaced by new squamous epithelium. Applicable to: chronic cervicitis, cervical endometriosis, mild and moderate cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. It is a method that needs to be used in the treatment of many cervical diseases. Let’s take a look at the precautions for cervical cryosurgery. There are two types of precautions for cervical cryosurgery: preoperative and postoperative. Preoperative: 1) It is best to do it within 3 to 7 days after menstruation to reduce the chance of bleeding and infection. (2) Before treatment, a cervical scraping should be performed to confirm that there is no cervical cancer or suspected malignant transformation before treatment can be carried out. (3) Before treatment, attention should be paid to the hygiene of the vulva. For patients with acute or chronic vulvar or vaginitis, cervical cryotherapy should be performed only after thorough treatment. (4) Those with heart disease or other serious illnesses should exercise caution. After surgery: (1) Patients who have undergone cervical surgery should be aware that they cannot have sexual intercourse within 2 months after surgery. It is recommended that you wait six months after surgery before getting pregnant. (2) Vaginal secretions will increase after surgery. Watery secretions will begin 4-6 days after surgery and reach a peak on the 3rd-4th day, about 200-300 ml per day. The secretion will gradually decrease after the scab falls off. This process can last for about 1 month. During this period, you should pay attention to drinking more boiled water, strengthening nutrition, avoiding excessive fatigue, keeping the perineum dry and clean, and changing clean sanitary napkins frequently to prevent infection. (3) Pay attention to regular follow-up examinations, especially one month after surgery, and another one three months later to see if there is any recurrence and whether continued treatment is needed. Cervical cryosurgery is a very common gynecological surgery. This method is generally not painful, has a high cure rate, and has little bleeding during and after the operation. It has a strong killing effect on diseased cells and leaves no scars after healing. It is particularly suitable for the treatment of cervical lesions in women who want to have children. It has basically no other effects on the body and is widely used in clinical practice. By understanding the above precautions about cervical cryosurgery, women with this need can make more comprehensive preparations, cooperate with doctors' treatment, and recover early. |
