Why does my lower abdomen hurt during ovulation?

For women, dysmenorrhea may be a common problem. In addition to dysmenorrhea, many women actually experience increased leucorrhea and lower abdominal pain about 10 days after their menstruation or about 14 days before the next menstruation. At this time, many women do not know the reason. So is this situation a normal physiological phenomenon, or is it caused by some organic disease?

Judging from the situation described above, it is estimated that it is during the ovulation period. In addition to menstruation, many women will experience abdominal pain during ovulation, sometimes on the left side, sometimes on the right side, and about once a month. The pain is not severe, just a dull pain. Most people can bear it, and it doesn't last long and will pass after a while.

Some women don't take it seriously, but some are worried, wondering if they have some disease. In fact, this is just a normal physiological reaction of the body. Women don’t need to be particularly nervous.

In order not to delay other diseases, women can judge whether it is normal ovulation pain based on the following three criteria: first, the pain occurs once a month; second, the onset site is sometimes on the left and sometimes on the right; third, the pain passes after a while and is not treated.

Why does abdominal pain occur during ovulation? Because during the ovulation process, due to the rupture of the follicular membrane and ovarian capsule, the follicular fluid stimulates the nearby peritoneum, some more sensitive people (with a lower pain threshold) may experience abdominal pain. This pain is generally mild and occurs once a month. Since ovulation can occur alternately in both ovaries or occur more frequently on one side, the pain can occur alternately on the left and right ovaries or more frequently on one side.

Women should pay more attention to their menstrual cycle, menstrual period, changes in leucorrhea, etc. These situations are closely related to our own physical condition. Only by clarifying the normal situation can we detect abnormal changes and avoid major problems. The above-mentioned ovulation pain should also be taken appropriately.
