Can pelvic adhesions be seen with ultrasound?

Most patients suffer from pelvic inflammatory disease in acute form. If it is not treated properly, it will lead to chronic disease, which will not only aggravate the condition but also cause other complications, among which pelvic adhesion is a common one. We all know that pelvic adhesion is a very complicated disease. If the patient is not treated in time, it will not only affect the health of the pelvis, but also cause infertility. If a patient has mild pelvic adhesion, can it be checked by B-ultrasound? The following is a detailed introduction to the examination items for pelvic adhesion.

Can mild pelvic adhesion be checked by B-ultrasound? Pelvic adhesion can be divided into mild and moderate to severe according to the type of disease. Mild pelvic adhesion cannot be checked by B-ultrasound. Only when the condition worsens can B-ultrasound be used to show the problem, and high-density extravasated fibrous tissue will be found in the pelvic tissue.

In order to better identify the symptoms of pelvic adhesion, patients are advised to follow the following three examination items.

First, self-correction and self-inspection. Patients with pelvic adhesions, whether mild or severe, will have obvious symptoms, such as lower abdominal pain, and severe patients will also have low back pain. Generally speaking, the lower abdominal pain caused by pelvic adhesions will be more obvious after excessive fatigue or sexual intercourse.

Second, angiography examination. The so-called angiography examination is mainly carried out through iodized oil angiography, which is mainly used to determine the smoothness of the bilateral fallopian tubes.

Third, laparoscopy. Laparoscopy is one of the best ways to diagnose fallopian tube adhesions. With professional tools, the patient's pelvic shape, position, and the degree of pelvic adhesion can be better observed.

The above three levels are examination items related to pelvic adhesions, and we hope they can help more patients. Once a patient is diagnosed with pelvic adhesion, whether it is mild or severe, standard treatment methods must be used. If the pelvic adhesion is caused by a viral infection, antibacterial drugs can be used to eliminate bacteria and reduce inflammation.
