How to treat heavy menstrual flow?

Some women often have much more menstrual flow than the average person. Not only is the menstrual period longer, but the amount of menstruation is also very large. This often leads to excessive blood loss in the female body, resulting in symptoms such as anemia, pale complexion, and general weakness. Therefore, once the menstrual flow is too heavy, attention should be paid and adjustments should be made to make the menstrual flow normal.

Causes of heavy menstrual flow

1. Due to excessive secretion of ovarian estrogen, or long-term stimulation of the endometrium causing it to proliferate beyond normal thickness, the amount of bleeding increases during shedding. Such as anovulatory functional uterine bleeding.

2. Mental factors, fatigue, postpartum, intrauterine contraceptive device, etc. can also cause heavy menstrual flow.

3. Systemic diseases. Such as: leukemia, aplastic anemia, thrombocytopenia, pernicious anemia, liver disease, hypertension, etc.

4. Caused by organic gynecological diseases. Uterine fibroids, uterine polyps, etc.

5. The abundance of spiral arterioles in the endometrium or increased vascular fragility can also cause heavy menstrual flow.

How to regulate heavy menstrual flow

Eating motherwort can help regulate your heavy menstrual flow. You can also use the following prescriptions to regulate your flow.

1. Prescription: 30 grams of motherwort, 24 grams of angelica, 15 grams each of raw rehmannia charcoal and red peony root, 12 grams of zedoaria, 10 grams of aurantium, 9 grams each of chuanxiong, peach kernel and safflower.

Dosage: Take 1 dose twice a day starting from the day before menstruation. After taking 3 doses of the medicine, the effective rate reached 97%.

2. Prescription: 30 grams each of black fungus and red ochre.

Usage: Fry the black fungus until it turns yellow and grind it into fine powder with red ochre. Take 10 grams before each meal with rice wine. Twice daily. The medicine will take effect after one dose and the patient will be cured after two doses.

Therefore, once the menstrual flow is heavy, the cause should be found in time, and symptomatic treatment should be paid attention to prevent the body from experiencing anemia, irregular menstruation and other symptoms due to excessive menstruation for a long time, or the increase in menstrual flow caused by illness. If timely treatment is not paid attention to, it will cause greater harm to the body.
