Generally, bleeding in the stool is caused by dry or uncomfortable stools. If it does not happen often, there is no need to worry too much. Just eat more foods that lubricate the intestines and drink more water, and the condition will improve soon. However, if it does not improve for a long time, it is very likely hemorrhoids. Pay attention to your daily living habits, do not sit often, and walk around appropriately. If the hemorrhoids are severe, surgical treatment is required. Bleeding in the stool means that there is blood visible to the naked eye mixed in the stool. In severe cases, the stool looks almost entirely blood, which is collectively referred to as "blood in the stool." There are many causes of bloody stools, which can be roughly divided into two categories. The first category is intestinal diseases, which can be divided into: 1. Intestinal ulcers and inflammation, such as bacterial and amebic dysentery, typhoid fever, ulcerative colitis, etc.; 2. Parasitic infections, such as hookworm disease, schistosomiasis, etc.; 3. Tumors, such as rectal cancer, colon cancer, intestinal polyps, etc.; 4. Intestinal blood circulation disorders, such as hemorrhoids, intussusception, intestinal strangulation, etc.; 5. Injuries, such as anal fissures, abrasions from instrument examination or dry stool, etc. Bleeding in the stool may be related to hemorrhoids, and it is recommended to have a rectal examination in the hospital. It is recommended that the initial treatment of hemorrhoids is to pay attention to diet, maintain smooth bowel movements, and prevent complications. When hemorrhoids bleed, fall out, or become painful, you need to go to the hospital for treatment. Depending on the size of the hemorrhoids, you can use sclerosant injections, surgical resection, etc. The treatment of mild hemorrhoids is mainly non-surgical in principle. At the same time, you should insist on taking a hot water bath every day; maintain smooth bowel movements; when it is severe or accompanied by inflammation, you should rest in bed, use antibiotics, and apply ointments; when thrombosed external hemorrhoids are accompanied by severe pain, a fusiform incision should be made under local anesthesia to remove the thrombus. The most likely cause of bloody stool is hemorrhoids. If the bleeding symptoms have not been relieved, you should go to the hospital for examination. If it is confirmed to be hemorrhoids, you must undergo appropriate surgery for treatment. Don’t think that it may be fine if you just endure it. Sometimes it will become more and more serious, so you must go to the hospital in time if you feel uncomfortable. |
