What are the methods of breast biopsy?

Breasts are a symbol of a girl. They are as important as a woman's uterus, and both are living organisms that nurture children. But some women have their breasts removed because of breast cancer, which is a very cruel thing for a woman. If you feel breast tenderness or a lump in your breast, a breast biopsy is usually performed to detect it. However, breast cancer is generally more common in middle-aged and elderly women, and breast biopsy is also an examination method used by middle-aged and elderly women. The following will introduce the method of breast biopsy to you.

Breast biopsy is the abbreviation of "breast biopsy pathological examination". It refers to a method of taking pathological examination of diseased tissue from the patient's living body through surgical methods such as local excision, forceps, puncture needle aspiration, scraping, and removal to determine the diagnosis.

There are several ways to do a breast biopsy:

Core needle biopsy: A special thicker hollow needle is used to puncture the lesion to obtain long strips of tissue. If puncture can be performed under the guidance of B-ultrasound or positioning of a stereotaxic instrument, the accuracy of sampling can be improved.

Incisional biopsy: A method of removing part of the tissue at the edge of the lesion for biopsy. It is generally used when larger lesions are difficult to remove in one go and is often used when there is a high possibility of a benign lesion. When breast cancer is highly suspected clinically, biopsy should be avoided as much as possible because it may promote the spread of cancer cells.

Excisional biopsy: A biopsy method that completely removes suspicious lesions (such as lumps) including the surrounding normal breast tissue at one time. It is the most commonly used method of breast biopsy.

What are the methods of breast biopsy? Breast biopsy is mainly a method of examining middle-aged and elderly women with breast pain. It is done by obtaining some living cells from the diseased part and conducting examinations to understand whether a woman's breasts have disease. Breast biopsy is very necessary for you. If there are middle-aged or elderly women around you who suffer from symptoms such as breast pain and breast hypertrophy, you can provide them with advice.
