How to treat nose bleeding in late pregnancy

Nose bleeding may be a trivial matter for us, but for expectant mothers during pregnancy, especially those in the late stages of pregnancy, it is a very serious matter. Well, many expectant mothers will ask: What are some good treatments for nose bleeding? Next, let me introduce to you expectant mothers how to treat nose bleeding in late pregnancy.

If you experience repeated nosebleeds during pregnancy, you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time, especially if there is bleeding in other parts of the body at the same time, and the presence of other systemic diseases should be ruled out. Then, the treatment methods are mainly as follows:

1. Press the nostril on the bleeding side against the nasal septum or stuff a small ball of clean dry cotton into it to stop the bleeding.

2. If the nosebleed is on both sides, you can pinch the nostrils on both sides with your thumb and index finger to compress the bleeding area, and then apply a cold towel on the forehead to promote local blood vessel contraction and stop bleeding.

3. Washing your face, especially your nose, with cold water can also cause the blood vessels in your nose to contract when they are exposed to the cold, thus achieving the purpose of stopping bleeding.

If the above methods still cannot stop the bleeding, please consult a doctor. When you have a nosebleed, you should stay calm, because tension and panic will increase your blood pressure and intensify the bleeding. If blood flows into the oropharynx, it must be spit out and not swallowed.

4. Once a pregnant mother has nose bleeding, she should lie on her back quickly, press the base of the nose with the thumb and index finger for 5-10 minutes, and apply a cold, wet towel to the forehead or nose. Generally, the bleeding can stop. During pregnancy, you can eat more foods rich in vitamins C and E, such as green vegetables, red beans, lean meat, milk, eggs, etc., which can enhance the elasticity of blood vessels. In general, nose bleeding will not cause anemia. If the pregnant mother has severe bleeding, she should use progesterone drugs reasonably under the guidance of a doctor to reduce the stimulation of estrogen on the nasal mucosa and eliminate the cause.

The above is what I want to introduce to you today about how to treat nose bleeding in pregnant women in the late pregnancy. I hope my sharing will be helpful to expectant mothers. During pregnancy, expectant mothers should pay more attention to their physical health, diet and rest. The editor also wishes all expectant mothers good health.
