What is the cause of bloody vaginal discharge during breastfeeding?

The arrival of a new life can be said to carry the hopes and joys of too many people, especially in this era when there are many only children. Therefore, once a girl finds out that she is pregnant, she will become very cautious until the baby is born safely. Many times, girls think that their physical condition at this time has little to do with the baby, but you are wrong because you still have to breastfeed. Therefore, if you have any physical problems during breastfeeding, your baby will also be affected.

Leucorrhea is an important indicator of women's health. Normal leucorrhea is relatively small in amount, clear, transparent and odorless. If the leucorrhea is abnormal in color, properties, odor, etc., it indicates an inflammatory infection, such as vulvitis, vaginitis, cervicitis, etc. It is difficult to determine the cause based on your symptoms alone. You can come to the hospital for routine leucorrhea examinations to determine if there are any abnormalities and receive treatment based on the cause. To check whether the leucorrhea is normal, you need to observe the amount, color, texture and smell. Normal leucorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell; its secretion amount and texture are affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, and vary periodically with the menstrual cycle, with varying amounts, textures and thicknesses. Generally, the amount of vaginal discharge is small after the menstrual period. Before the ovulation period, the estrogen level in the body increases, which promotes the proliferation of epithelial cells in the cervical glands, increases the secretion of cervical mucus, and increases the sodium chloride content in the mucus, which can absorb more water, making the ovulation period

During the uterine discharge period, the amount of vaginal discharge increases, the texture is thin, the color is clear, and the appearance is like egg white, which can be stretched into long threads. After ovulation, the estrogen level gradually decreases, the progesterone level increases, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the content of sodium chloride in the mucus also decreases, making the leucorrhea at this time thick, milky white, less ductile, and easy to break when stretched. In addition, there are some physiological phenomena, such as pregnancy and oral contraceptives, which can cause an increase in vaginal discharge. The cause is also related to changes in estrogen and progesterone levels in the body.

If there is blood in the leucorrhea, it may be due to vaginitis, cervical erosion, vulvitis or cervicitis. Go to the hospital for a routine examination of the leucorrhea before treatment. Regular check-ups are better.

There are two types of bloody vaginal discharge: physiological and pathological. Generally speaking, some women will experience ovulation bleeding during their ovulation period, also known as mid-menstrual bleeding, which refers to a small amount of bleeding between two normal menstrual periods, which may be accompanied by varying degrees of lower abdominal pain. If the symptoms are mild, no treatment is needed. If the bleeding is heavy or affects fertility, medication can be used for treatment. However, if there is bloody leucorrhea, the following diseases should also be considered: (1) cervical polyps. (2) Acute vaginitis. (3) Severe cervical erosion. (4) Senile vaginitis. (5) Cervical cancer. (6) Submucosal uterine fibroids. (7) Endometrial cancer. In addition, sometimes due to the placement of an intrauterine contraceptive ring, there may be some blood mixed in the leucorrhea.

Bloody vaginal discharge can appear before or after menstruation, during ovulation, and in diseases such as vaginitis, cervical erosion, cervical polyps, endometrial lesions and tumors. If it happens once in a while, you don't need to be nervous, just observe closely. If you often have bloody vaginal discharge, you need to go to the hospital for gynecological diagnosis and treatment in time.

A baby, the arrival of a new life, is not only the hope of young parents but also the hope of several generations. Especially in this era when most people are only children, babies are loved by many relatives! Therefore, the new generation of parents should not only know the common sense before the baby is born, but also know more about the common sense after the baby is born.
