What should be paid attention to during induction of labor in late pregnancy

If a pregnant woman does not give birth on time in the late pregnancy, she will need to undergo induced labor to avoid fetal hypoxia and stillbirth. This will seriously threaten the safety of the pregnant woman and the fetus. Some issues should be paid attention to. So what issues should be paid attention to in induced labor in the late pregnancy? Let me introduce this issue to you below.

1. What is induced labor: Overview Induced labor, also known as labor guidance, refers to the use of artificial methods to induce labor in women. It is generally divided into mid-pregnancy induced labor and late-pregnancy induced labor. Induced abortion in mid-pregnancy is the termination of pregnancy due to the needs of eugenics or family planning. Late pregnancy induced abortion is a measure taken in the late stages of pregnancy to induce uterine contractions and end labor because the mother has some complications or the fetus has problems. Generally, the doctor who induces labor can inject oxytocin into the mother's vein, sometimes combining this with rupture of the amniotomy membrane to induce labor. Oxytocin is a hormone that the body produces naturally during labor and causes the uterus to contract.

2. What is induced labor: Suitable population Generally speaking, doctors will only induce labor in special circumstances, such as when the due date has passed a long time ago; when the pregnant woman has a high-risk disease such as diabetes, which puts pressure on the fetus; when the amniotic membrane ruptures prematurely and the fetus is at risk of infection. If induction of labor does not work, the obstetrician will perform a cesarean section to remove the baby. If a pregnant woman feels that the fetal movement has disappeared and the doctor determines that the fetus is dead in the uterus after examination, induced labor should be performed immediately to ensure the safety of the pregnant woman's life. When a pregnant woman has too much amniotic fluid, the fundus of the uterus will rise sharply, compressing the pregnant woman's stomach and even causing the heart to shift. As a result, the pregnant woman will suffer from palpitations, shortness of breath, difficulty lying flat, affecting her sleep and diet, and in severe cases, may even cause fetal malformations. In this case, induced labor should be performed immediately to terminate the pregnancy. Pregnant women with diabetes or other serious organic diseases are weak, lack energy and physical strength. Continuing the pregnancy is not good for both the pregnant woman and the fetus, so induced abortion should be considered.

3. What is induced labor: The impact of induced labor on the body. In recent years, the number of patients requesting induced labor in the obstetrics and gynecology outpatient clinic of the hospital has increased year by year, and the number of patients with multiple miscarriages has also increased. It seems that induced labor is just a simple and feasible way to solve the problem of fertility. Experts advise that whether it is artificial abortion or medical abortion, it will seriously affect the reproductive health of women themselves.

The above is my opinion on this issue that I would like to introduce to you. If the patient has the above problems, it is necessary to pay attention to taking timely treatment methods and measures to ensure the physical safety of the pregnant woman and avoid dangerous situations caused by the above problems. Finally, I wish the pregnant woman a smooth delivery.
