What is vaginal granulation?

As medical care improves, so does our understanding of disease. Today I will bring you a topic about vaginal granulation. Some people may ask, what disease is vaginal granulation? There must be more than one disease that has vaginal granulation as a symptom. How can we judge what disease we have? Next, I will bring you an explanation of what disease vaginal granulation is.

Main diagnostic methods

1. Diagnose genital warts based on the appearance of the warts: The surface of typical genital warts is rough and uneven, and the appearance is generally thorn-like, cauliflower-like, nipple-like, cockscomb-like, or has a pedicle at the root and is fused into pieces. Therefore, once single or multiple warts with rough surfaces and appearance are found in the external genitalia, perianal area, perineum or vagina, they can basically be identified as genital warts.

2. Differential diagnosis of genital warts based on the acetic acid white test: Warts with atypical appearance can be differentiated by the acetic acid white test (this test can be done at home). The method is: prepare 3%-5% acetic acid (the concentration of edible white vinegar is 4%-6%, which can be used as a genital wart identification solution). Apply gauze or paper towel soaked in white vinegar to the growth and observe whether the protrusion turns white after 3-5 minutes (warts in the perianal area require 10-15 minutes). If the growths become noticeably white, it is a positive reaction and can be diagnosed as genital warts.

3. Perform a pathological examination to diagnose whether it is genital warts: If the appearance is not typical and the positive result after the acetic acid white test is not obvious, a pathological examination can be performed on the growth to confirm the diagnosis. The characteristic cells of genital warts are condyloma acuminatum. If diagnostic condyloma acuminatum can be found through tissue pathology, it can be diagnosed as genital warts. However, this examination is expensive, generally around three hundred yuan, so if the diagnosis can be made through the appearance of the wart, the acetic acid white test, and whether the growths have a tendency to grow larger or increase in number, there is no need for a pathological examination to make a diagnosis.

The above is the explanation I have brought to you. I believe that through reading, you will have a certain understanding of the diagnosis method of vaginal granulation disease. I also hope that my article can help you. If you are really not sure about your illness, you must go to a regular hospital for treatment. I wish you all good health.
