How much do girls know about menstruation?

Every girl will encounter a special period every month. Of course, girls must pay more attention to some changes in their bodies during these times. In fact, many times it is very helpful to know more about some related knowledge, such as premenstrual syndrome. Do you know anything about this?

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) refers to a series of physical and emotional discomfort symptoms experienced by women in the late menstrual cycle (luteal phase D14-D28). The symptoms are not related to mental or medical diseases, are relieved in the follicular phase, and recover to a symptom-free state after menstruation. Premenstrual syndrome is a women's disease caused by a combination of physiological and socio-psychological factors. The goal of treatment is mainly to relieve or eliminate physical and psychological symptoms, reduce the impact on personal daily life, interpersonal relationships, and quality of life, and minimize the side effects of treatment.

Severe premenstrual syndrome: There is no consistent definition of premenstrual symptoms in severe premenstrual syndrome. However, in recent studies, this diagnostic criteria has been basically unified and has been used to diagnose this series of severe premenstrual symptoms with various manifestations (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) - based on at least 5 symptoms, including one of the 4 core psychological symptoms (from a table containing 17 physiological and psychological symptoms. The 17 symptoms are: depression, helplessness and guilt, anxiety/stress, mood swings, irritability/persistent anger, decreased interest, lack of concentration, fatigue, increased appetite, sleep disorders, lack of self-control or vulnerability, poor ability to help, headache, pain, edema/weight gain, cramps, breast tenderness) and aggravated before menstruation and alleviated or disappeared after menstruation.

No matter what the reason is, girls should pay attention to some changes during this period. After all, this period is relatively special. Taking good care of yourself is the best approach. If you can't take care of yourself, you may also leave some bad symptoms. No one wants to see such a result.
