What causes coldness during pregnancy?

A while ago, a friend of mine got pregnant. This news was very exciting and I believe that pregnant women nowadays feel the same way. As a woman who is about to become a mother, aren’t you particularly happy? It’s particularly great. Women are of course great, but there are some problems that arise when you are pregnant. Not long ago, my friend called me and told me that she was afraid of the cold after she became pregnant. She was very nervous and she didn’t understand why. In fact, many women will encounter such a situation. So what is the reason for being afraid of the cold after pregnancy?

The process of pregnancy is a process of happiness, worry and expectation. Every mother hopes that her baby will have a good and healthy body when she comes to this time. So how do we protect ourselves during pregnancy? In addition to the baby, we should also pay attention to our own body. Some pregnant women have weak constitutions and are afraid of cold in the early stages of pregnancy. So what kind of phenomenon is this?

You may feel cold in early pregnancy. In the first three months, before the placenta is fully developed, the pregnant woman's body temperature is slightly higher, which manifests as fear of cold. After the placenta is fully developed, the body temperature gradually returns to normal. Due to the increase in blood volume, the body becomes hotter, which manifests as not being afraid of cold in the later period.

The reason for being afraid of cold in early pregnancy may also be poor physical constitution or insufficient nutrition, such as insufficient intake of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Another possibility is hypothyroidism. In order to prevent colds during pregnancy and affect fetal development, pregnant women are advised to pay attention to adding or removing clothes, get enough rest, and drink plenty of water. In addition, it is best to check thyroid function when preparing for pregnancy or in early pregnancy (preferably 8 weeks before pregnancy), which can prevent hypothyroidism from causing intellectual damage to the baby.

In addition to being afraid of the cold in the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant women may also experience symptoms such as amenorrhea, dizziness, weakness in the limbs, drowsiness, loss of appetite, frequent nausea, picky eating, preference for sour food, or dislike of greasy and special smells. In addition, breast development, nipple enlargement, darkening of nipple and areola, small nodules around the nipple, and even tingling and swelling in the breast may occur.

Frequent urination may also occur because during the first three months of pregnancy, the uterus gradually grows in the pelvic cavity, pressing on the bladder, causing the pregnant woman to constantly feel the urge to urinate. In the middle of pregnancy, the uterus will move up to the abdominal cavity, and the phenomenon of frequent urination will improve. But towards the end of pregnancy, frequent urination will reappear.

When people are weak, their physical condition will be poor and they will be afraid of cold. The above are the reasons why people are afraid of cold in early pregnancy. If you understand these problems, you don’t need to be nervous. If such a situation occurs, you can go to the hospital for a check-up to see if there is a problem. It is also for personal safety. I hope all pregnant women can give birth to healthy and happy babies.

Now you know about the situation of being afraid of cold after pregnancy. If you have pregnant women at home, you need to pay more attention to them. After knowing this knowledge, you should convey it to them and tell them not to worry. You should know how to regulate your body and don’t put too much pressure on yourself and be afraid of something bad happening. This will not only affect your own body but also the baby in your belly. The baby’s development is very important. I hope pregnant women will keep it in mind after seeing this.
