Postoperative care for cervical erosion with Lipknife

Cervical erosion is a gynecological disease in daily life. I believe that all female friends are familiar with it. Whether young women or middle-aged and young women, they will suffer from cervical erosion due to some problems in daily life. So how should we treat this disease? Cervical erosion requires surgical treatment. Let’s learn about it together.

Among the consequences of cervical erosion, female fertility problems mainly lie in the fact that when cervical erosion occurs, cervical secretions will increase significantly, become thick in texture, and contain a large number of white blood cells, which can phagocytize sperm and reduce its activity, thus affecting conception.

Secondly, if cervical erosion is not treated in time, the inflammation will invade the cervical tissue for a long time, causing infection of nearby organs such as endocervicitis, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, etc., and may also cause more serious diseases such as polyps, lacerations, ectropion and cysts.

Cervical erosion may not cause any obvious discomfort in mild cases and can only be discovered during a gynecological examination. In severe cases, there may be an increase in leucorrhea, which may be purulent or bloody and have a foul odor. Leucorrhea may irritate the vulva and cause vulvar itching. In more serious cases, there will be a distending pain in the lower abdomen, which will be aggravated after sexual intercourse, and discomfort such as frequent urination may also occur. Gynecological examination revealed that the surface of the cervix was red, the original cervical squamous epithelium had fallen off and was replaced by columnar epithelium, there was a clear boundary between the eroded surface and the surrounding normal epithelium, and it was easy to bleed during examination.

After the Lip surgery for cervical erosion, many patients and friends may not know how to care and maintain the wound after the operation. They know how to care for the wound to prevent infection.
