Causes of Endometriosis

Causes of Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a common condition in our lives, mainly caused by the improper conduct of female friends in their lives. So how should our female friends prevent and treat these gynecological diseases? Today we will introduce to you some causes and treatments of endometriosis. We hope that female friends can develop good living habits in their lives.

Under normal circumstances, the endometrium covers the surface of the uterine cavity. If due to some factors, the endometrium grows in other parts of the body, it can become endometriosis. This ectopic endometrium histologically not only has endometrial glands, but is also surrounded by endometrial stroma. Its function changes significantly with the estrogen level, that is, it changes with the menstrual cycle, but only part of it is affected by progesterone, which can produce a small amount of "menstruation" and cause various clinical phenomena. If the patient becomes pregnant, the ectopic endometrium may have decidual-like changes. Although this ectopic endometrium grows in other tissues or organs, it is different from the infiltration of malignant tumors. The peak incidence of this disease is between 30 and 40 years old.

symptom

1. Dysmenorrhea.

Progressive dysmenorrhea is a common and prominent feature of endometriosis and can occur before, during, and after menstruation.

Some patients have severe and unbearable dysmenorrhea and need to rest in bed or take medication to relieve the pain, some even roll on the bed or bang their heads in pain. The pain often worsens with the menstrual cycle and disappears when the menstruation ends.

80% of patients with endometriosis have obvious dysmenorrhea symptoms!

2. Infertility.

About 50% of endometriosis patients suffer from infertility; among patients with unexplained infertility, about 30-40% suffer from endometriosis.

Infertility in patients with endometriosis is often caused by factors such as pelvic masses, adhesions, fallopian tube blockage, poor follicle development or ovulation disorders caused by the disease.

3. Irregular menstruation.

In endogenous endometriosis, menstrual flow often increases and menstrual periods are prolonged. It may be caused by an increase in endometrium, but is often accompanied by ovarian dysfunction. Irregular menstruation can be used as a diagnostic reference, but it has no value in differential diagnosis.

4. Pain during sexual intercourse.

Endometriosis that occurs in the rectouterine fossa and vaginal rectal septum causes swelling of the surrounding tissues and affects sexual life.

5. Periodic rectal irritation symptoms.

Progressively aggravated cyclical rectal irritation symptoms are rare in other gynecological diseases and are the most valuable symptoms for diagnosing this disease. Symptoms include heaviness, pain, tenesmus, and increased frequency of bowel movements in the rectum, anus, and vulva.

Through the above detailed introduction of the causes of endometriosis, we also know that this disease is likely to cause infertility in women, and this disease may also cause some other diseases, so we hope that patients can be treated through some of the treatments we introduced above, so that they can recover soon!
