What causes menstrual migraine?

When menstruation comes, it is the most inconvenient time for girls and they need to take care of themselves the most. Stomachache is the most common phenomenon. However, some girls not only have stomachache but also headache. This double blow makes the time even more difficult. What is the reason for this situation? What should we pay attention to in our daily life? Today we will look at the causes of migraine during menstruation.

Women who have menstrual migraines should give themselves the following five kinds of nutrients to help them get through this period:

1. Take 200-400 mg of vitamin B2 every day. Vitamin B2 may play a role in the energy metabolism pathway in the brain, "short-circuiting" migraines.

2. Take 50 mg of vitamin B6 per day one week before your period, and then increase the dose to 100 mg per day during your period. Vitamin B6 stimulates the production of serotonin, a chemical in the brain that constricts blood vessels and prevents migraines from occurring. It should be noted that if you take 50 mg to 2 grams of vitamin B6 per day for too long, you may experience unstable gait and numbness in your feet.

3. Take 400 international units of vitamin E every day. Vitamin E helps stabilize estrogen levels in the body, and its antioxidant properties may also play a part.

4. Take 200 to 400 mg of magnesium every day. Women with heart or kidney problems should check with their doctor before taking magnesium supplements to see if they are suitable for magnesium supplements. Some people may experience diarrhea if they take 350 mg or higher doses of magnesium per day, so be careful not to supplement magnesium easily.

Girls should pay attention to nutritional supplements during menstruation and should not eat raw or cold food. No matter how much food you eat during this period, you don’t have to worry about gaining weight. Never stop eating to lose weight, as this can cause great harm to your body. If you have a headache, you should supplement magnesium appropriately, but not too much dose as some people may not be able to adapt. I hope the above suggestions can help you.
