Do small nodules in the breast need to be treated?

Do small nodules in the breast need to be treated?

Breast nodules can occur in a variety of diseases, such as cystic breast hyperplasia (mainly characterized by breast swelling and pain, lumps, regular pain, aggravated before menstruation, waiting to be relieved or subsided), breast fibroadenoma (may be asymptomatic, tough), intraductal papilloma (may be asymptomatic, nipple discharge), breast tuberculosis, etc.

Small nodules in the breast also need to be judged whether they need treatment based on the characteristics of the mass. If ultrasound examination finds low-echo or ultra-low-echo small nodules, and they are ring-shaped or ring-shaped with relatively smooth edges, they are considered to be good tumors, the more common ones are breast fibroadenoma and breast cyst. In this case, follow-up observation is sufficient and no treatment is required. Surgery is only performed during pregnancy planning, when the tumor significantly enlarges during follow-up, or when there are other abnormalities that suggest malignancy. In addition, even if the breast lump is relatively small, but the margins are irregular, the mobility is relatively poor, and there is a tendency for malignancy to become a lump, surgical treatment is also recommended. Breast Mammotome surgery can be chosen. After the operation, the lump can be sent for pathological examination, and the next step of treatment can be guided by the pathological results of the lump. No matter what condition a breast lump is found, follow-up observation or further treatment is recommended, and surgical removal may be necessary.

It is recommended to go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment immediately, and do relevant examinations such as molybdenum target X-rays, which are low in cost and have high diagnostic value, and should be treated as soon as possible.

Breast hyperplasia is one of the most common and frequent diseases in women. In essence, it is a disorder of the normal structure of the breast caused by physiological hyperplasia and incomplete restoration. The cause of the disease is not yet clear. At present, it is mostly believed to be related to endocrine imbalance and psychological factors. The main cause of the disease is the decrease in luteinizing hormone secretion and the relative increase in estrogen.

The main symptoms are breast pain and lumps in the breast. Because the mechanism and cause of the disease are not accurately understood, the current treatment is basically medication. Patients with more obvious symptoms and more extensive disease range can use a bra to support the breasts; taking the Chinese medicine Xiaojindan or Xiaoyaosan, or 5% potassium iodide can relieve the symptoms. In recent years, there are many similar medicines, such as Rukuaixiao, Rupixiao, Tiandongsu Tablets, Pingxiao Tablets, Nangpiling, Tamoxifen, etc., with different therapeutic effects. Regular follow-up visits are required. During the follow-up observation of the patient, once a lump that grows rapidly in a short period of time or hardens in material is found, it should be highly suspected that it may worsen and a puncture biopsy is necessary.

The situation where there is a lump in the breast that needs treatment is that the size of the lump is more than one centimeter and it is rotating. Considering the unclear edges of the lump, poor mobility, and hard material, surgical intervention is required to eliminate the possibility of malignancy. If the lump is less than one centimeter, the texture is relatively soft, the boundaries are relatively clear, and the mobility is good, you can have regular follow-up visits, do a breast B-ultrasound every six months, and have a manual diagnosis by a breast physician, regular follow-up visits, and no surgical treatment is required. However, you can take Chinese herbal medicine for the treatment of breast hyperplasia, such as Rupixiao Capsules, Neixiaoluolia Tablets, etc., to treat breast lumps and bring the breast to a healthy state.
