Can I eat potatoes during my period?

Potatoes are actually one of the most commonly eaten grains and vegetables. In life, potatoes can be said to be our best companions, because they can satisfy our hunger and provide the body with a variety of nutrients. In particular, potatoes have a relatively high starch content, which can help the body's health. Generally, women can eat potatoes during menstruation, but they should be careful to avoid raw, cold and spicy foods.

During menstruation, women should focus more on supplementing protein nutrition and vitamins in their diet, as well as various foods high in iron to replenish the blood. Therefore, it is hoped that women can have a more comprehensive understanding of the nutritional value of these foods during menstruation, and thus better help themselves through the menstrual period.

Potatoes are a starchy food and can be eaten without any adverse effects on menstruation. Just don't eat cold food to avoid blood circulation problems. Also, just don't eat chocolate, as it can cause dysmenorrhea.

1. During menstruation, you should eat more foods that moisturize the intestines and promote bowel movements, such as fresh vegetables, fruits, peanut kernels, walnut kernels, sesame kernels, oil, honey, etc. You should also drink more water to help digestion and make bowel movements smooth. Because during menstruation, stools are prone to become dry and hard, which can cause congestion in the pelvis and lower body.

2. Don’t eat sweets deliberately. Such as drinks, cakes, brown sugar, and candies. Prevent blood sugar instability and avoid aggravating various discomforts during menstruation.

3. Eat more high-fiber foods, such as: vegetables, fruits, whole grains, whole wheat noodles, brown rice, oatmeal and other foods. Eating enough high-fiber foods can promote the secretion of estrogen, increase the magnesium content in the blood, regulate menstruation and calm the nerves.

4. Eat some foods rich in B vitamins such as walnuts, cashews, dried beans, etc. between meals.

6. Get enough protein. Eat more high-protein foods such as meat, eggs, tofu, soybeans, etc. to replenish the nutrients and minerals lost during menstruation.

Because of women's special physiological structure, they are destined to experience those special times every month.

At this time, the body may experience various symptoms of discomfort, so do not neglect your physical health to avoid adverse effects on your future life.
