Why do menstruation become irregular?

Menstruation is a phenomenon that occurs in every woman's life. Girls usually start menstruating in their teens, and will stop menstruating when they are around 40 or 50 years old. Of course, the situation varies. But roughly speaking, menstruation will accompany women for decades. Women usually call menstruation "aunt", "MC" and so on. Normal menstruation comes at a fixed time every month, usually not too far apart, and the duration of each period is different for each person. However, too short or too long a time is not good.

What is irregular menstruation?

Normal menstruation every month can not only help women excrete waste and toxins in their bodies, but it also means that women are healthy and free of disease. However, many women experience irregular menstruation. Irregular menstruation means that you don’t know when your period will come or go. It may come once every half a month, or it may only last for a day. If you have such symptoms, don't be glad that you don't have to suffer for a few days, because this means that there is something wrong with your body. So what exactly is causing irregular menstruation?

Menstrual irregularity is a general term, which includes early, late, irregular menstruation, excessive or insufficient menstruation, etc. From the perspective of modern medicine, irregular menstruation can be explained by disorders of the reproductive endocrine, nervous, and immune systems; from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, irregular menstruation is closely related to insufficient qi and blood, dysfunction of internal organs, especially dysfunction of the liver, spleen, and kidney in traditional Chinese medicine.

When dealing with menstrual disorders, the nature and extent of the disease should be clarified first in order to determine the treatment plan and course. In terms of treatment methods, we can use traditional Chinese medicine or a combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine based on the patient's treatment goals and the strengths of both. It is worth mentioning that traditional Chinese medicine has great advantages in overall regulating the balance of women's endocrine environment. Although the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine cannot be fully explained by modern medical theories, it has good clinical therapeutic effect.

In addition, patients with menstrual disorders should also pay attention to diet and mood regulation. Every patient has life factors that lead to illness, so doctors will also pay attention to guiding patients to regulate their mood during the diagnosis and treatment process in order to balance treatment and prevention.

If you find yourself having irregular menstruation, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time. Don't think that you can save those days every month if you don't have your period. Absence of menstruation not only means that you have a disease, but it can also easily cause female infertility, especially for married women who want to have children.
