Not all dairy products are suitable for kidney patients, especially these ones!

1. Whole milk

Whole milk contains high levels of fat and phosphorus. Excessive fat intake may aggravate lipid metabolism disorders in kidney patients, while high phosphorus can lead to elevated blood phosphorus. When kidney function is impaired, phosphorus excretion is impaired, and excessive phosphorus can cause abnormal calcium-phosphorus metabolism, stimulate the secretion of parathyroid hormone, and further affect bone health, aggravating the condition of kidney patients.

2. Sweetened condensed milk

A large amount of sucrose is added to sweetened condensed milk during the processing, which will cause kidney patients to consume too much sugar. A high-sugar environment is not only not conducive to blood sugar control, but also increases the metabolic burden on the kidneys. In addition, the additives in sweetened condensed milk may also cause potential harm to the kidneys and affect the normal function of the kidneys.

3. Cheese

Some cheeses contain more sodium and phosphorus. Excessive sodium can lead to water and sodium retention, increase blood pressure, and further damage kidney blood vessels. As mentioned above, the high phosphorus problem can trigger a series of complications related to calcium and phosphorus metabolism, which can impact the fragile body balance of kidney patients.

4. Milk Beverages

The milk content in milk drinks is often low, but contains more additives, preservatives and sugar. After these substances enter the human body, they need to be metabolized and excreted by the kidneys, which undoubtedly increases the workload of the kidneys. Moreover, the nutrients contained in milk drinks cannot meet the special needs of kidney patients for high-quality protein and other nutrients, but may bring negative effects.

Therefore, kidney patients must be cautious when choosing dairy products, and it is best to do so under the guidance of a doctor or nutritionist.
