What is dementia?

Alzheimer's disease warning signs

1. Memory declines day by day, affecting daily life. For example: adding salt twice when cooking, forgetting to turn off the gas after cooking.

2 Difficulty in handling familiar things, such as difficulty in doing daily housework, not knowing the order of dressing and the steps of cooking.

3 Difficulty in language expression, such as forgetting simple words, and the words or sentences spoken or written are incomprehensible.

8 Emotional instability and abnormal behavior. For example, rapid mood swings and becoming moody.

10 Losing the initiative to do things. For example, wasting time all day and losing interest in previous hobbies.

How to treat and prevent Alzheimer's disease?

1 Actively treat the primary disease: Actively control risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, obesity, and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

2 Healthy lifestyle: quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption, drink plenty of water, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, and eat a low-salt and low-fat diet.

3. Engage in appropriate physical exercise: do some exercise that you can do, such as jogging, mountain climbing, Tai Chi, square dancing, etc.

4 Use your brain more: play some relaxing games, play mahjong appropriately, or go to a senior citizen university, etc.
