What is cervical cancer?

Cervical cancer I believe everyone is familiar with the word. When we talk about cancer, our first reaction is that it is very serious, and the fact is mostly like this. Today I will tell you what cervical cancer is, the harm of cervical cancer and how to prevent cervical cancer.

What is cervical cancer?

Cervical cancer, also known as cervical cancer, refers to a malignant tumor that occurs at the intersection of the squamous epithelial cells inside the cervix or in the transitional zone and the columnar squamous epithelial cells of the endometrium of the cervical canal. In my country, the mortality rate of cervical cancer ranks fourth among all cancers and second among female cancers.

Cervical cancer is one of the most common gynecological diseases in women. For women, the harm of cervical cancer is very great.

Cervical cancer damage

Serious impact on daily life

Because the uterus is located in the female abdomen, it is a hollow organ close to the bladder and duodenum. Its function is to serve as a channel for menstrual discharge and a natural barrier for vaginal microorganisms and gases to enter the female uterus. It can also resist the stimulation encountered during sexual life and cause cervical inflammation. These are all harmful manifestations of cervical cancer.

Multiple body position diseases

The damage of cervical cancer can directly cause lower back and abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding and foul-smelling secretions, which are the most direct manifestations. In addition, the difference in the location of the attack also causes differences in the details. Lumps will appear in the lower abdomen or pelvic wall, and the lower limbs will be edematous. Cervical cancer patients may experience symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, inability to hold urine, painful urination, hematuria, etc. At the same time, cough, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and rectal bleeding will also accompany them.

Causes fatal damage to the uterus

The uterus is the place where sperm and egg combine to grow and develop. During the treatment process, due to many reasons, cervical cancer patients sometimes have to have their uterus removed in order to save their lives.

How can women prevent cervical cancer in their daily lives? I have sorted out some ways to prevent cervical cancer. Let’s take a look.

How to prevent cervical cancer

1. Have regular gynecological examinations and regular cervical TCT tests. If abnormalities are found in cervical TCT, further treatment is required.

2. Pay attention to hygiene and epidemic prevention during menstruation and pregnancy, cultivate good living habits, and reduce or prevent the occurrence of cervicitis.

3. Actively treat chronic cervicitis, especially those with long-term leucorrhea or abnormal vaginal bleeding, should go to the hospital for examination immediately and take appropriate treatment measures.

4. Use the old method to deliver pregnant women to prevent cervical laceration during delivery or abortion. Once a laceration occurs, surgical suture should be given.

5. Those who need to remove both uterus and ovaries due to certain gynecological diseases should also have their uterus removed unless absolutely necessary. It is generally not suitable to perform a subtotal hysterectomy to prevent residual cervical cancer.

6. Advocate late marriage, late childbearing and fewer children.
