Pictures of fetal membrane outflow

It is normal for the amniotic fluid to rupture before the pregnant woman gives birth. However, the amniotic membrane of some women will rupture prematurely. The impact of placental abruption is very large, which may cause infection and even fetal death. If a pregnant woman finds that she has placental abruption, she should go to the hospital for a physical examination immediately. Does placental abruption discharge a lot of fluid?

Is there a lot of fluid discharge from placental abruption?

1. Generally, when placental abruption occurs in the late pregnancy, pregnant women will experience fluid loss in the vagina, but the fluid discharge is different. There is continuous loss and there is intermittent loss. However, since there is fluid discharge, you need to go to the hospital for examination immediately, and you need to be hospitalized for observation and fetal preservation.

2. The amount of water that will flow out if the embryo ruptures prematurely depends on individual circumstances. Generally, premature rupture of membranes refers to the spontaneous rupture of the fetal membranes during labor. Placental abruption is the most common complication in the perinatal period, which can have serious adverse effects on pregnancy, fetus and newborn. Placental abruption can lead to an increase in the rate of premature births, perinatal mortality, and intrauterine infection and puerperal infection rates.

3. If a pregnant woman suddenly has a lot of water flowing out of her vagina, or a continuous small amount of vaginal discharge. The amniotic fluid of normal pregnant women is clear, and pregnant women often confuse it with urine, but the fluid discharged from placental abruption is discharged from the vagina, so it is easy to distinguish. If there is thick or greenish discharge from the vagina, it is abnormal.

4. In case of placental abruption, liquid may be seen discharged from the vulva, or by pulling up the fetal head and lightly pressing the fundus of the uterus, or by changing the posture of the pregnant woman. The discharged liquid is generally thinner and like water, and may be mixed with meconium or vernix caseosa. Critically ill hospitalized patients may bring sanitary napkins or handkerchiefs to the hospital clinic and should be handled with caution.

Are there any signs of placental abruption?

1. Under normal circumstances, there may be no signs before placental abruption. Usually, if vaginal discharge suddenly occurs without any cause or during sleep, it is considered that placental abruption may exist. The fluid discharged from placental abruption generally cannot be controlled, and the fluid will be discharged along with the change in posture.

2. Pregnant women may see fluid discharge from the vulva when lying on their back, or there may be no fluid discharge. If there is no fluid discharge, during rectal examination, lift the posterior fornix in the vagina, pull up the fetal head, and gently press the fundus of the uterus, or the pregnant woman may change her position to cause fluid to discharge from the vulva. Note that fluid discharge may still not be seen after these auxiliary operations. The fluid that is discharged is generally thin and may be mixed with meconium or vernix caseosa. Critical care outpatients may bring underwear, sanitary napkins or handkerchiefs to the hospital outpatient department, which requires further careful consideration.

3. Placental abruption is a data signal of difficult labor in pregnant women. Abnormal fetal position can cause placental abruption. Therefore, pregnant mothers who have placental abruption should pay attention to check whether they have pelvic narrowness, cephalopelvic disproportion, and abnormal head position. Pregnant women with premature rupture of the embryo must take good care of their body and environmental hygiene.
