A drop of blood in early pregnancy

"It's bleeding!" The husband rushed over, looked at her abdomen, and then at the ground, as if looking for blood! I wanted to hit her with a hammer. If so much blood was shed and dripped onto the floor, would I be able to stay here! It's true. Although the bleeding is very little, bleeding during pregnancy is really worrying. Let's discuss the causes of bleeding during pregnancy. What does it mean when I have a drop of bleeding in early pregnancy?

What does it mean when I have a drop of bleeding in early pregnancy?

There are many reasons for vaginal bleeding during pregnancy, such as implantation bleeding in early pregnancy, threatened abortion, cervical erosion or polyps. If there is a drop of bleeding during pregnancy and it disappears, it is considered to be implantation bleeding. For some sensitive women, when the embryo implants and embeds under the uterine wall, it stimulates the endometrium and causes bleeding. The bleeding may stop after a few drops or last for 1-2 days. It is a normal physiological phenomenon and will not affect the fetus. However, bleeding during pregnancy is often abnormal. It is recommended to go to the hospital for abdominal color ultrasound, routine leucorrhea examination and other examinations to eliminate the cause of the disease and receive pregnancy-preserving treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

What causes bleeding during pregnancy?

1. Implantation bleeding. If you are pregnant soon, when the sperm and egg combine and the embryo implants in the woman's uterus, there may be mild vaginal bleeding during this 1-2 period, but it is difficult to know whether it is vaginal bleeding caused by pregnancy at this stage.

2. Miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. Small amounts of bleeding or vaginal bleeding may be a precursor to miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, especially if accompanied by lower abdominal pain or menstrual cramps.

3. Infection. Vaginal bleeding may also be due to vaginal infection or sexually transmitted diseases, which can cause the vagina and cervix to become infected and inflamed. The inflamed tissue may bleed a small amount after cervical acid-fast staining, vaginal examination or sexual intercourse.

4. Embryo problems or premature babies. If a pregnant woman experiences vaginal bleeding or a small amount of bleeding in the second or third trimester of pregnancy, it may be a sign of some more serious conditions. Such as placenta previa, placental abruption (the embryo separates from the endometrium before the baby is delivered), late-term miscarriage (before 13 to 28 weeks of pregnancy), or premature birth (before 28 to 37 weeks of pregnancy).

5. All normal signs of delivery for pregnant women. In the third trimester of pregnancy, that is, in weeks 37, if you notice vaginal bleeding, if the discharge is sticky and contains blood, it is usually spotting during pregnancy and you should tell your doctor.
