Is the belly big or the belly big during pregnancy

As pregnancy progresses, your abdomen will become larger and larger. A sudden increase in belly size is a sign of pregnancy. It can also mean that the baby is growing more and more mature. When the baby is ten months old, the abdomen has reached a larger size, and after delivery, the abdomen returns to its original size. But there is a lot of fat accumulated in the abdomen, so I need to lose weight slowly. So, during pregnancy, is it the lower abdomen or the abdomen that is enlarged?

Is pregnancy a big belly or a fat stomach?

Generally speaking, the abdominal expansion is not obvious in the first two months of pregnancy, and the abdomen only begins to gradually expand in the third and fourth months of pregnancy. Different pregnant mothers will also have differences due to many factors such as physical fitness and diet.

During the first three months of pregnancy, the belly of a pregnant woman is not noticeably protruding. On the one hand, this is because the baby is not fully developed. On the other hand, various pregnancy reactions of the pregnant woman are more obvious, resulting in physical weakness, poor appetite and no appetite, so the abdominal enlargement is naturally not obvious. Until the fourth month of pregnancy, the pregnant woman's abdomen begins to expand externally, with the uterine height ranging from 16 to 20.5 cm and the fetal abdominal circumference beginning to increase at a rate between 76 and 89 cm. Until the time of delivery, the uterine height is 32.0-38.5cm and the fetal abdominal circumference is 89-100cm.

However, due to various reasons such as the physical fitness and dietary structure of pregnant women, there are differences in the development of babies. Some pregnant women's abdomen will become noticeably larger in the third month of pregnancy, while some pregnant women's abdomen will still not expand significantly in the seventh or eighth month of pregnancy. Experts say that there will be differences in abdominal size during pregnancy, as long as the various indicators of the fetus are above normal. Pregnant women are advised to undergo prenatal checkups on time. If they experience discomfort such as non-menstrual vaginal bleeding, fever, dizziness, weakness in the limbs, severe vomiting, etc. during pregnancy, they should go to the hospital for a physical examination as soon as possible.

Reasons for the enlarged belly:

1. During pregnancy, due to the secretion of estrogen and progesterone, certain parts of the body, such as the breasts, will become fuller, the abdomen will become rounder, and the waist will become wider. These are all normal changes during pregnancy and there is no need to worry.

2. During pregnancy, the gradually expanding uterus begins to compress other abdominal organs, which reduces the storage space and movement space of these organs, thereby squeezing the gastrointestinal tract, causing gastrointestinal obstruction and bloating in pregnant women.

3. Belly distension and enlargement in early pregnancy do not rule out the possibility of gynecological inflammation, especially the symptoms accompanied by yellow leucorrhea. This situation is often caused by inflammation, and symptoms such as increased leucorrhea, yellowing, odor, and vulvar itching often occur. If the inflammation is not treated in time, reverse infection will cause cervicitis, cervical erosion, etc., and in severe cases, it can cause miscarriage. It is recommended to go to the hospital for a physical examination as soon as possible, take female secretions for testing, and use medication based on the test results. After pregnancy, the body's female hormone secretion is abundant. If you do not pay attention to hygiene, it will cause gynecological inflammation.
