Which breast lumps are benign?

When women find breast lumps during routine physical examinations or personal examinations, they often become very anxious and worry that it might be cancer. In fact, not all breast lumps are cancer. They may be benign lumps or malignant ones. In order to distinguish between benign and malignant breast lumps, the diagnosis can be made from multiple aspects, such as age of onset, characteristics of the lumps, etc.

First, from the age of onset, breast cancer generally occurs after the age of 40, and the incidence rate will gradually increase. However, if mid-span breast cancer is discovered at a young age, it may be a girl in her twenties. From the perspective of age, there are certain differences, but the age of breast cancer incidence is getting younger and younger, which cannot be ignored.

Second, judging from the characteristics of the lumps, breast cancer lumps are generally harder and can be clearly felt with the touch of the fingers. A good lump will be softer or more ductile. Breast cancer lumps are less active and less likely to grow, while good lumps are active and can grow in the breast. From the perspective of boundaries, the boundaries of breast cancer are not clear, because it shows invasive growth and development, so it is not easy to be unclear, while good ones have an outer membrane and the boundaries are very clear. Breast cancer will cause larger lymph nodes in the armpits, while good cancer will not. Secondly, breast cancer will have specific characteristics, such as nipple discharge, nipple retraction, orange peel-like changes, skin ulcers, etc., which are not easy to occur in healthy people.

It can be done through auxiliary examinations. The more suitable examinations are breast B-ultrasound, X-ray and MRI. Among them, B-ultrasound is a minimally invasive examination, without radiation, and easy to operate. From the level of the lump, it is divided into 0 to 6 levels. The higher the geometric level, the greater the possibility of breast cancer. If it is greater than 4, it is likely to be breast cancer and needs to be dealt with actively. There are also six levels of mammary X-ray examinations. The higher the symptom, the greater the possibility.

Pathological examination is even more reliable. It is the gold standard for diagnosing breast cancer. All the details before and after the metastasis can be sent for pathology, so that it can be confirmed quickly.

Breast cancer has lumps, which is a symptom. It does not mean that all breast lumps are cancer. It still needs to be analyzed and identified from the aspects introduced above, and it needs to be understood in detail. If you find a lump, if you have any doubts, further investigation will make it more certain.
