Congenital malformation of female vulva

Congenital malformation of female vulva

Vagina deformity is a way to cause female infertility. It has various causes. Once it occurs, the more immediate consequence is that it may cause premature birth, miscarriage or even infertility in women. Usually, some targeted methods can be used for treatment according to its different manifestations. If the condition cannot be effectively controlled for a long time, it will have many adverse effects on the health of women.

Abnormal development and functional problems of the female reproductive system include congenital dysplasia and functional problems of the uterus, cervix, vagina and bilateral fallopian tubes, often combined with multiple system malformations such as urinary and skeletal systems, which have varying degrees of impact on the patient's reproductive ability, specifically manifested as amenorrhea, infertility, recurrent miscarriages, premature births, etc. Among them, uterine malformation is the most common.

Some patients with reproductive system development abnormalities can have normal menstruation and sexual life, and there are no abnormalities in pregnancy, childbirth, etc. They are often discovered accidentally during routine physical examinations or go undetected throughout their lives. However, most patients may show reproductive abnormalities, such as infertility, recurrent miscarriage, premature birth, restricted fetal growth and development, abnormal fetal position, abnormal delivery period, etc. Different types of deformities have different impact levels. Among them, uterine malformation is the most common and has a serious impact on fertility.

(1) Infertility: Congenital absence of vagina in vaginal malformations is often combined with absence of uterus, or primordial uterus or immature uterus. Such patients have no possibility of pregnancy. If the hymen is imperforate and the vagina is completely transverse, there is a chance of pregnancy after surgery. Obstructive malformation causes retrograde menstrual blood flow, which can cause pelvic adhesions and endometriosis, and is also a cause of infertility. Such patients should be diagnosed and treated surgically as soon as possible.

(II) Pathological miscarriage and premature birth: (1) The uterus with abnormal growth and development has insufficient blood supply after pregnancy, with only one side of the blood vessel supplying blood. The decidua is not formed properly after pregnancy, which affects the development of the fetus.
