01 What is stroke

Cù zhòng, the same as “猝”, means sudden, the patient is hit in an instant. People often say “cerebral hemorrhage” means the sudden rupture of cerebral blood vessels. It mainly includes ischemic stroke (i.e. cerebral infarction) and hemorrhagic stroke (including cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, etc.).

Stroke is characterized by high morbidity, high disability rate, high mortality rate, high recurrence rate, and high economic burden. Globally, stroke is the second leading cause of death and the main cause of adult disability.

Therefore, stroke is a disease that seriously endangers human health. It not only brings pain to patients, but also creates huge economic and mental burdens on families and society.

02 Symptoms of stroke

03 Common factors of stroke

Stroke is preventable and controllable, including both modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors (as shown above).

By changing unhealthy lifestyles at an early stage, proactively controlling various risk factors, and actively intervening in the risk factors that have been discovered, we can prevent cerebrovascular disease from occurring or delay the age of onset, and reduce the incidence, recurrence, and mortality of stroke.
