Do you know the five major signs of lung cancer?

Lung cancer is the malignant tumor with the highest incidence and mortality rate in my country, and can be called the "number one killer" among cancers.

Some obvious signs of lung cancer are often overlooked. The following signs are warning signs from the body that you may have lung cancer:

Signal 1: Hemoptysis

This is the most alarming sign of all. If bloody sputum appears or other forms of blood appear in the sputum, please go to the hospital for examination immediately.

Signal 2: Dry cough

The dry cough here refers to an irritating dry cough, and its symptoms are mostly no sputum or a small amount of white sticky sputum. People who need special attention include long-term smokers over 40 years old. When an obvious irritating dry cough occurs and lasts for more than two or three weeks, it is necessary to be vigilant whether the cause is lung cancer.

Signal three: chest tightness

Like dry cough, when lung cancer involves the parietal pleura or directly invades the chest wall, it can cause persistent pain in that area and cause chest tightness. If respiratory symptoms persist for more than two weeks and are not cured, please go to the hospital for a check-up to see if you may have lung cancer.

Signal 4: Shortness of breath

Shortness of breath is one of the main symptoms of cancer patients. When shortness of breath occurs and tends to worsen, you should be careful. Many people think that shortness of breath is a natural reaction that worsens with age, but in fact it may also be a hidden sign of other major diseases. You must go to the hospital for examination.

Signal 5: Recurrent pneumonia or bronchitis

When a tumor appears in the lungs, it can block the airways and cause infection, leading to pneumonia and bronchitis. Although the inflammation is caused by lung cancer, in some cases, the pneumonia image on the X-ray obscures the lung cancer mass, making diagnosis difficult. When repeated lung infections occur, ask your doctor to conduct a thorough examination of the cause of the infection.

The symptoms of lung cancer can be easily masked by other lung diseases. Please pay attention to the above "warning signals" sent by your body, actively go to the hospital for treatment, early detection, and early treatment.
