Do you know how to press after infusion?

Do you know how to press after infusion?

"Nurse, my veins are not easy to be injected. You have to be more careful."

I looked at the old man's hands full of bruises, and remembered that I saw him press for 1 minute after removing the needle yesterday, and then let go when he saw that there was no bleeding.

Finally, I couldn't bear it anymore!

Intravenous infusion is one of the most commonly used operations in clinical practice, but many patients do not pay attention to pressing after infusion! This leads to continuous bleeding, bruising and bulging at the puncture point (see the picture below), which can be completely avoided by correct pressing techniques!

Since two bleeding points will be caused when we puncture, one is the visible skin bleeding point, and the other is the blood vessel bleeding point (see the picture below), we need to press both bleeding points at the same time when pressing!

Therefore, when pressing, we can use the longitudinal pressing method (see the picture below) and continue pressing for 3-5 minutes. This pressing method can press the vascular puncture holes and skin puncture holes at the same time. The pressing area is large and the force is uniform, thus reducing subcutaneous congestion and bleeding and reducing the patient's pain.

After the massage is completed, you should also be careful not to clench your fists, lift heavy objects, etc. within ten minutes.

Pressing after infusion may seem like a small problem, but if it is not taken seriously, it will also become a factor that affects our health! Therefore, we should be more patient in dealing with these problems!
