Sugar substitutes are harmful! Will high doses of sugar substitutes reduce immunity? The common sweetener sucralose reduces immune response in mice, new research shows. This sweetener limits T cell proliferation and differentiation. Mechanistically, sucralose affects the cell membrane of immune cells, and T cell receptor signal transduction and intracellular calcium mobilization efficiency are also reduced. When mice were fed high doses of sucralose, they showed reduced proliferation and differentiation of T cells (part of the immune system), indicating that their immune system was regulated. Additionally, sucralose affects the membranes of T cells, reducing their ability to effectively release signals. Mice fed sucralose also showed varying degrees of reduction in functional T cell responses in infection, tumor and immune models. Therefore, consuming large doses of sweeteners may have adverse effects on the human body and is a potential health risk factor. Drink and alcohol in moderation, fake things will never be real. Eat less food that is only sweet but has no energy. The dietary sweetener sucralose is a negative modulator of T cell-mediated responses. Nature. |
