Luotu Technology: China's smart tablet shipments reached 7.131 million units in Q3 2024, up 3.5% year-on-year

According to the recent news, according to the latest "China Smart Tablet Retail Market Monthly Tracking" report data released by Luotu Technology, in the third quarter of 2024, the shipment volume of China's consumer smart tablet market was 7.131 million units, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%.

Among them, the retail volume of the online monitoring market (excluding emerging e-commerce companies such as Pinduoduo and Kuaishou) accounted for 41.2% of the total shipments, reaching 2.938 million units, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%; sales revenue was 8.45 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%.

The top four sales in the online market are Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi and Honor, which remain unchanged from the same period in 2023. The fifth place changes from Lenovo in 2023 to iFlytek in 2024.

Apple's sales share in the online monitoring market was 25.0%, down 8.6 percentage points from the same period last year, and its sales volume declined by 22.1% year-on-year.

In fact, due to factors such as Apple’s own lack of innovation, the asynchrony of global AI technology, and the strong rise of domestic companies, most of Apple’s electronic products are performing poorly in the Chinese market.

Huawei’s sales share in the online monitoring market increased by 5.3 percentage points to 20.3%, a year-on-year increase of 41.3%, mainly driven by the MatePad 11.5″S and MatePad SE series.

In addition, Huawei's advantages in the offline market are more obvious.

Overall, Huawei's share is already very close to Apple and may soon surpass it.

Compared with Apple and Huawei, other manufacturers have a relatively large gap, with Xiaomi's share at 9.5%, Honor at 5.3%, and iFlytek at 4.1%.
