Counterpoint: Xiaomi's smartphone shipments in Q4 2023 increased by 23% year-on-year, ranking first among domestic smartphones and third in the world

Market research firm Counterpoint Research released a global smartphone infographic for the fourth quarter of 2023. Xiaomi's shipments grew by 23% year-on-year, ranking first among domestic smartphones and third in the world. Overall, in the fourth quarter of 2023, the global smartphone market grew by 7% year-on-year and 8% month-on-month to 323.2 million units.

Among them, Apple's shipments increased by 2% year-on-year, surpassing Samsung to top the list in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Samsung's shipments fell 9% year-on-year, losing to Apple in the high-end market, to Xiaomi and others in the mid-range market, and to Transsion in the entry-level market.

Despite this, Samsung still maintained its position as the world's top smartphone manufacturer, ranking second in the world with a market share of 16%.

Among the top five smartphone brands, Xiaomi grew the fastest in the fourth quarter of 2023, increasing 23% year-on-year to 40.7 million units, ranking third with a market share of 13%.

Ranked fourth and fifth are vivo and OPPO, with a market share of 7% each.

Honor achieved a double-digit year-on-year growth of 27%, while Huawei achieved triple-digit growth, making it the only top 10 manufacturer to achieve triple-digit growth.
