BCI: China will sell 270 million smartphones in 2024, with Apple ranking first

According to recent news, data from research organization BCI showed that a total of 270 million smartphones were sold in China last year, and Apple became the best-selling mobile phone.

The top six domestic market shares in 2023 are Apple, vivo, OPPO, Honor, Xiaomi and Huawei, accounting for a total of 91.5%.

Compared with the rankings in 2022, the biggest change is that Apple, with an average selling price of over 7,000 yuan, has surpassed vivo. This also directly shows that the iPhone is still very popular in the Chinese market.

According to the e-commerce sales of mobile phone brands provided by research company Sandalwood, the most sold mobile phone brands on JD.com and Tmall last year were Apple, Xiaomi, OPPO, Honor, Huawei and vivo. Overall sales increased slightly by 0.3% compared with 2022.

However, the survey also found that with the sudden launch of the Mate 60 series in the second half of the market, players in the mobile phone market began to have a new understanding of Huawei, and this phone also quickly increased Huawei's overall share of mobile phones.

Now with Huawei's strong comeback, other domestic manufacturers' original base is also at risk of being eroded, and Apple may suffer a greater impact, especially their share in the high-end market.
