CAMIA: Thailand's top apps and games downloads in the first half of 2018

In the first half of 2018, the total number of TOP100 apps on the Thailand GP free download list accounted for 78%, and games accounted for 22%. There are 18 categories of apps in total, of which photography, entertainment, communication and tools accounted for the largest proportion, and photography accounted for the highest proportion of 11%.

There are nine game categories in the list. Like the Indonesian market, action games account for the largest proportion, accounting for 7%.

There are 23 products from Chinese publishers, 18 of which are apps and 5 are games. Among the apps, there are two short video apps in the video playback and editing category: Tik Tok and VivaVideo, both of which also appeared in the top 50 of the last Indonesian list.

At the same time, the only two personalized applications in the list - Cheetah Mobile's input method application "Cheetah Keyboard" and mobile desktop application "CM Launcher 3D Cheetah 3D Desktop", the transfer tool "SHAREit Eggplant Quick Transfer", the cleaning software "Super Cleaner" and "Clean Master" and the input method tool "GO Keyboard", including "JOOX Music" and the overseas version of Kugou "WeSing" that also appeared on the previous Indonesian list, are all products of Chinese publishers.

Although there are many types of games in the list, the number is relatively small. Except for action games, which account for 7%, other games only account for one to two percentage points. Among them, Chinese players' games include "PUBG MOBILE" and "Lords Mobile", and these two games also appear in the Indonesian list.

The list includes relatively few products from local Thai players, a total of 15, of which 14 are apps. Among them, the six financial apps on the list are all products from local Thai players. The only game on the list that is assigned to the mini-game category, "Panya", is also a local Thai product.
