Apple CEO: 15.4 million iPads sold in Q4 2011

March 8, 2012: Apple CEO Cook announced today that iPad sales in the fourth quarter of last year were 15.4 million units, exceeding the number of PCs sold by any PC manufacturer. During the same period, HP sold 15.1 million PCs and Lenovo sold 13 million. This is also the first time that the iPad has surpassed the sales of all PC manufacturers in a single quarter. Cook also announced that there are now 200,000 apps specifically for the iPad. |
