High-risk HPV is mainly transmitted to humans through direct or indirect contact with environmental contaminants or sexual behavior. After the virus invades the body, it stays in the skin and mucous membranes at the infected site and does not cause viremia. Within 1 to 2 months of the onset of infection, the blood produces corresponding antigens to the infectious virus. If a blood test is done at this time, the result will be positive, and the detection rate is around 50-90%. 15 high-risk HPV types, especially types 16 and 18, are the main causes of high-profile cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical cancer. The detection rate of HPV DNA in cancer tissues using nucleic acid hybridization is as high as 60%.
