AddThis: Pinterest shares surpassed Google +1 in May 2012

Addthis's monthly data analysis from 1.3 billion unique users shows that Pinterest shares 6% more than Tumblr and 7% more than Google+. In addition, as many as 14 million websites received about 30% more referral traffic from Pinterest than from Twitter in May this year.

Addthis data also shows that the number of users who follow other brands through Pinterest increased by 26% last month. In addition, Addthis also gives the mobile platforms used by users to visit Pinterest: iPad accounts for 55%, iPhone accounts for 17%, and Android accounts for 28%, which means that nearly three-quarters of mobile users use Apple devices to visit Pinterest.
