What to eat and what not to eat for endometriosis

Endometriosis, also known as endometriosis, is a common and frequent gynecological disease in women of childbearing age. Its clinical manifestations include abnormal menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and pain during sexual intercourse. If not intervened in time, it can lead to symptoms such as infertility. In recent years, domestic and foreign experts have realized the harmfulness of endometriosis and believe that it is a chronic recurrent disease that is not easily cured by surgery. Therefore, intervention can be carried out by adjusting diet and increasing exercise to prevent the occurrence of endometriosis.

The diet to prevent endometriosis should be able to reduce inflammation inside the body, improve pain and maintain normal hormone levels in the body, but cold foods and foods with high estrogen content should be avoided.

Recommended food:

1. Containing protein: such as lean meat, fish, chicken, duck, etc. The fish oil in fish is believed to stimulate the body to secrete good prostaglandins and effectively relieve pain. It is best to choose fresh live fish when eating.

2. Dried fruits: Foods such as walnuts, dates, longans, etc. have the effect of nourishing qi and blood, can replenish the iron content in the body, and are beneficial to the maintenance of the body. It is recommended to eat them.

3. Supplement B vitamins: B vitamins can help the liver metabolize more effectively to eliminate excess estrogen, such as beans, cereals and dairy products.

4. Drink more water: Water is the source of life. Drinking more water can not only maintain normal body function but also prevent diseases. But drinking water does not mean drinking enough at one time or drinking when you are thirsty. Instead, you should drink water in small amounts and multiple times. On average, a normal person drinks 1500ml of water a day, which is consumed after getting up, in the morning, afternoon and before going to bed.

5. Fresh vegetables: such as leeks, white radishes, sweet potatoes, etc. contain dietary fiber that can supplement the various nutrients needed by the body. It is recommended to eat more.

Avoid:

1. Cold food: Especially before and after menstruation, avoid eating cold foods such as ice drinks, watermelon, crabs, etc. to prevent pain.

2. Foods with high estrogen content: Avoid citrus foods such as grapefruit and oranges, as they can irritate the stomach and disrupt the normal level of estrogen in the body.

Endometriosis can be effectively prevented not only through diet, but also through exercise. Women who regularly participate in exercise have a more robust immune system. The white blood cells, especially phagocytes, in the body of exercisers are more active and can effectively engulf the menstrual blood and endometrial tissue. In addition, exercise can increase the concentration of male hormones in the body. Since endometriosis is a hormone-dependent disease, the correct way of exercise can counteract the estrogen in women's bodies and effectively prevent the occurrence of endometriosis.

Studies have shown that women who exercise for more than 2 hours a week have half the chance of getting endometriosis than those who do not exercise. Among them, jogging and jumping are the best. These exercises have the strongest pulling and stimulating effects on muscles and joints, which can effectively improve physical fitness and immunity. Jumping can also increase the concentration of male hormones and prevent the occurrence of endometriosis. It is recommended to jog 3-5 times a week, and 30 to 60 minutes each time is the most appropriate. However, for beginners, they can only run for a few minutes at the beginning, and they can't run in the later stage. They can complete this exercise by walking, but they must insist on gradual progress and increase the time every day according to their own conditions until they can run 30 to 60 minutes at a time; and jumping exercises such as skipping rope should be jumped for 30 to 60 minutes at a time, and it is best to jump 4 to 6 times a week to enhance the body's oxygen consumption and improve the body's immunity. However, exercise should be moderate, and high-intensity exercises should not be practiced to avoid adverse effects such as muscle strain and tendon injury.

However, diet and exercise can only prevent endometriosis and cannot cure the disease. If you want to completely treat endometriosis, it is recommended to go to the hospital for regular treatment to alleviate the pain to the greatest extent and effectively avoid the occurrence of complications.
