Is habitual ankle sprain serious? How to prevent it?

Many friends who love sports will encounter such a situation. After having a serious sprained ankle, they will often sprain their ankle. After the pain is over, you just need to rest for a while. If you don’t feel it is serious, you will ignore this small process of injury. However, when the number of sprains starts to increase slowly and becomes a frequent sprain, it means that the stability of your ankle joint is very poor. Repeated sprains cause the lateral ligament of your calf to be continuously pulled and torn. In severe cases, it will be completely torn, and the lateral ligament of the ankle joint will completely fail.

So when you find the above symptoms, first you need to go to the hospital to observe whether it is serious and whether there is a possibility of right lateral ligament rupture. Secondly, in daily life, you not only need to prevent sprains, but also need to perform reasonable muscle recovery:

First prevention: After an injury, you need to rest, apply ice, compression, and elevation instead of heat and massage; choose suitable shoes when exercising, and do not wear shoes that do not fit, are uncomfortable, or are severely worn; exercise needs to be done within your ability, and do not take risks.

The second exercise: First, you need to find a regular sports rehabilitation therapist to conduct a more detailed analysis to confirm the cause of your habitual ankle sprains; secondly, you need to exercise your feet, legs, buttocks, and core muscle groups, because well-developed muscles can protect the body's joints, share the external force you bear, and provide core power; finally, you need to train your balance, such as standing on one leg or squatting on one leg, to restore your body's balance, which can prevent habitual ankle sprains.
