Cervical pain during intercourse

Cervical pain during intercourse

Marital sex is a way for men and women to express their love, and it is also a physiological need. A proper sexual life can make women healthier and more charming. But if the couple has too much sex, it will affect their physical and mental health. Some women are very reluctant to have sex because of the pain in their cervix after intercourse. So, what is the cause of cervical pain during intercourse?

What causes cervical pain during intercourse?

The main cause of cervical pain is inflammation, which may be cervical erosion or cervicitis. You can go to the gynecology department for a colposcopy for examination. This colposcopy can clearly identify the condition of the uterus. If it is cervical erosion, treatment should be carried out according to the degree of erosion, and the frequency of normal sexual intercourse should be reduced. Cervical erosion is difficult to heal because the wound has been in a wet environment for a long time, and it is more difficult to heal. Therefore, the treatment process is relatively long and you must persist in the treatment.

You can go to the hospital to do a cervical scraping, which is painless. The cervical scraping is done by using a medical speculum to expose the external opening of the cervix, and using a specially made scraper to scrape off the secretions from the external opening of the cervix. This process only takes more than ten minutes and is not painful. The doctor will wipe the secretion on the glass lens and apply alcohol, then take out the Pap smear to check whether you have cervical cancer.

Before doing this test, you should not have sex the day before, your menstrual period should be over, and you should not use cleaning fluid or suppository to clean the vagina before doing the scraping test. First, check where the cervix is located, how big it is, whether there is any secretion, and whether there is cervical erosion. Second, use a probe to detect the length and direction of the cervix to see if there is adhesion, stenosis, or abnormality. If there is any abnormality, further angiography is needed. Third, angiography can be used to check whether the uterus and bilateral fallopian tubes are diseased and whether they will have a negative impact on pregnancy. Can reasonably diagnose and carry out early treatment.
