You want to have a child but you still take birth control pills?

Aunt Zhang's daughter has been married for 2 years. She has seen the country allow three children, but her daughter still does not want to have a child. Ms. Zhang is so anxious that her hair is turning white.

But the good news is that this year my daughter and son-in-law are finally planning to have a baby.

When her daughter came home to visit her parents during the National Day holiday, Ms. Zhang found that her daughter had to take medicine every day. She only said that she was taking vitamins. Vitamins are all in bottles, and if someone takes them one by one, it is obvious that they are fooling people.

Aunt Zhang took the medicine and ran to the drugstore to ask. She was shocked to find out that the Diane-35 her daughter was taking was actually a birth control pill!

Didn’t you agree to have a child? Why are you taking birth control pills again?

Faced with her mother's questioning, the daughter had to tell the truth. She was indeed taking birth control pills, but not for contraception. On the contrary, it was to get pregnant smoothly.

It turned out that Aunt Zhang's daughter had irregular menstruation, but because she didn't have any other discomfort and had no plans to have children, she didn't pay much attention to it. This year, when she was preparing for pregnancy and went to the hospital for a check-up, she found out that she had polycystic ovary syndrome.

What is polycystic ovary syndrome?

Polycystic ovary syndrome is a common endocrine disease in women of childbearing age, characterized by ovulation dysfunction or anovulation and high androgen levels. Clinical manifestations include:

01 Irregular menstruation, menstruation only occurs once every few months;

02 Obesity and excessive hairiness;

03 Infertility, caused by infrequent ovulation or anovulation.

How is PCOS treated?

Polycystic ovary syndrome is mainly treated by improving lifestyle and medication. Obese patients often have good results by losing weight, and the drug treatment for polycystic ovary syndrome is Diane-35.

Although Diane-35 is a contraceptive, its purpose is not to prevent pregnancy, but to treat polycystic ovary syndrome, so that patients can ovulate regularly and thus conceive.

So how long should Diane-35 be taken? Generally speaking, it takes 6 courses of regular medication, that is, 6 months, and then supplemented with ovulation-inducing drugs, and most patients will have a good effect.
