When is the best time to view Swan Lake in Sanmenxia?

1. The white swans usually arrive in mid-to-late October every year. This year, they arrived about 10 days earlier than last year. On the afternoon of October 17, at another wetland reserve in Sanmenxia, ​​staff found the first two white swans that flew from faraway Siberia to spend the winter. On the 25th, the park welcomed another 32 white swans.

2. From November, white swans will gradually come to Sanmenxia to spend the winter, and stay until around March of the following year. Generally speaking, the best viewing period starts from the end of November and lasts until January of the following year. In January last year, Sanmenxia Swan Lake National Urban Wetland Park received about 6,000 white swans, and the entire water surface was filled with white elves playing from afar.

At present, there are three main white swan viewing areas in Sanmenxia, ​​namely Sanmenxia Swan Lake National Urban Wetland Park, Sanmenxia Yellow River Wetland Wangguan Key Protection Area, and Sanmenxia Yellow River Park. It is free to watch white swans in these areas. Among them, Sanmenxia Swan Lake National Urban Wetland Park has the best viewing effect.

4. It is very convenient to watch swans from Luoyang to Sanmenxia. You can take the high-speed rail or drive on the Lianhuo Expressway to Sanmenxia East Station and drive about 10 kilometers to Sanmenxia Swan Lake National Urban Wetland Park. When watching swans, do not wear overly bright clothes, do not make loud noises, and do not bring pets into the park.
