Normal value of luteinizing hormone on the third day of menstruation

Luteinizing hormone (LH) is metabolized by the pituitary alkaliphilic granulocytes. In women, LH and FSH work together to maintain the physiological cycle of the uterus and ovaries, leading to ovulation and progesterone production. So how much is the standard of luteinizing hormone on the third day of menstruation worth?

Due to the differences in women's menstrual cycles, the normal range of progesterone is also significantly different. The standard range of luteinizing hormone is 1.65~15u/l in the follicular phase for women; 0.61~16.3u/l in the follicular phase; 21.9~56.6u/l in the ovulatory phase; and 14.2~52.3u/l in menopause.

Luteinizing hormone is a hormone secreted by the pituitary gland. It interacts with follicle-stimulating hormone to maintain the function of the ovaries, thereby achieving a normal physiological cycle, causing ovulation, the production of progesterone during pregnancy, and so on.

However, if the patient has a decrease in progesterone, it may cause luteal insufficiency, leading to menstrual disorders, increased menstrual cycles, irregular vaginal bleeding and other symptoms, which will have a serious impact on women's health. Therefore, when the patient shows symptoms of this condition, he or she needs to go to the hospital for treatment immediately.

The harm of low luteinizing hormone:

1. Directly cause infertility: The uterine wall of women with low progesterone cannot shed at the normal time. The uterine wall before menstruation still remains in the early metabolic stage, and the metabolic response is poor. There are slight bends on the whole line, which makes it difficult for women to get pregnant and causes infertility.

2. Menstrual disorders: Some patients with low progesterone will experience menstrual disorders, such as shortened menstrual cycles, excessive menstruation, frequent menstruation, prolonged menstruation (up to 9-10 days or even longer), etc., which make women miserable.

How to treat low luteinizing hormone:

1. Supplement luteal copper: If examination shows that a woman's estrogen level is slightly low and endometrial metabolism is poor during the follicular phase, replacement therapy can be carried out by supplementing luteal copper.

2. Human chorionic gonadotropin: When the uterus is close to maturity, the application of human chorionic gonadotropin can induce ovulation. Taking the medicine after ovulation can stimulate the growth of progesterone, support the function of the corpus luteum, increase the production of progesterone, and extend the service life of progesterone.
